ANNA WINTOUR'S NIECE, ELLIE WINTOUR, SCORED A SEPTEMBER 'TATLER' COVER

For the upper echelons of British society (read: the very, very rich), the Condé Nast glossy Tatler has long been a go-to title. From lavish parties and exotic vacations (including features on private jet etiquette) to glimpses inside the fabulous lives of Royals and "It" girls — the magazine provides readers with the ultimate in luxury lifestyle coverage, with a smart, sassy slant.

When it comes to its covers, Tatler often has fun with cover lines (example: "Help! I Inherited a Castle") and casts pretty young things who didn't exactly bring about their own fame — perhaps a celebrity offspring or up-and-comer in society — but who have sparked the public's interest in some way. And the September 2016 edition of the magazine is no exception, as it features 21-year-old Ellie Wintour — that'd be Anna Wintour's niece — posing alongside her friends in the best of the fall collections. The student at York University has attended fashion shows with her aunt in the past, but this is her first major editorial shoot, and she's dressed head-to-toe in designers that theVogue editor would certainly approve of: Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Fendi and more.

The younger Wintour is studying English literature, so we wouldn't be surprised if a career in magazine editing is in her future; Anna Wintour's father, Charles Wintour, was a famous newspaper editor, and her brother, Patrick Wintour (Ellie's father) is a renowned journalist as well. As for the modeling bit? While celebrity offspring are certainly enjoying a moment in the spotlight, we'll have to wait and see if she'll ride that wave with future bookings. Head on over to Tatler now to see the full editorial, and take a peek at the photos below.

Byblos Fall/Winter 2016-2017 RTW – Milan Fashion Week

CATEGORIES:Fashion

The Byblos brand is an interesting one, dating back to the late 1970s and having been known for marking the turning point in the history of the company from 1981, onwards to 1996. Alan Cleaver and Keith Varty worked together in Italy to put together a house that would be unique and special, and brought in the youthful touch needed to make the company great. With a younger audience in sight, the label would begin to really grow in the world, until it was clear to the world as a whole that the creative directors opted for products that are saleable and with the right fabric to them, looking fresh every season.

Byblos Fall/ Winter 2016-2017 RTW - Milan Fashion Week

Colors are the best part of the brand, as the duo really has an eye for combining hues that create a masterpiece through it all. Those two were the third in line for the company though, as Gianni Versace had been the first and today we see Manuel Facchini heading that ship. He is a man who studies at the prestigious Central Saint Martins and launched his eponymous label with his debut fall and winter collection in 2015.

In the Byblos fall/winter 2016-2017 collection seen today on the Milan Fashion Week runway, we can easily say the combination of rock and gothic and sports never looks so good before. Whether we owe that to the black dresses that reach a few inches above the knee with their transparent paneling or the color fusions of purple, pink and black on those textured and patterned skirts with the matching Victorian necked sweaters, we can be sure that the designer knows exactly what he is doing as the ladies walk out in their splendid creations.

Throughout the collection, we see skirts and we see denim, we see reds and blues and whites and blacks and a whole slew of interesting factors. We notice there are both high necks and plunging ones, asymmetrical skirts and pleated versions, multi-layered concoctions or simple and sweet cheerleader outfits. After all, it is the rock and gothic joining in with the sporty here, which also makes for some really interesting dresses that come with miniskirts and pleats and slimming patterns.

We see floral pieces with some awesome satin lined jackets in the mix, while there is a certain rainbow celebration that we might associate with gay pride when we look at he sheer polka dotted pieces that come onto stage. The use of colors extends to the makeup as well, with rosy cheeks, pink lips and beautifully shadowed lids leading to some pretty darling looks. The shoes, however is where a line is crossed, as we simply cannot find the beauty in double strapped hairy slider flats… that one is an impossible obstacle to overcome.

The Best Bags of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2014

MaxMara Spring 2014 Handbag

Usually, I can count on Italy to give me at least one collection of Fashion handbags per season that hits me right in the heart. The Italians know their leather, and their Fashion Week is stocked with brands as well known for their Fashion bags as they are for anything. This time around, though, Milan Fashion Week Spring 2014 felt at times more like it was revisiting its greatest hits than charting new territory. I saw some new versions of existing bags that I loved, but I never got that new thing that flooded my brain with serotonin.

That’s not to say that there weren’t some accessories highlights – in fact, they were abundant. The new versions of the Fendi 2Jours were excellent, and the Prada face-painted bags are sure to become collectors’ items. Beyond that, there were lovely exotics in light colors galore, from Ferragamo to Versace. Even if the season wasn’t fully satisfying, there was plenty to love. Check out our picks for the best of the season below.
