There are four Chanel Wallet On Chain Bags that are considered the ‘Must Haves’. These WOCs are made in such a way that you can call them ‘timeless’.

The first two are classics – the Chanel Classic Quilted WOC and the Chanel Reissue 2.55 WOC. The last two are recently introduced, but their fame has already reached the moon – the Chanel Trendy CC WOC and the Chanel golden Class Double CC WOC.

The Chanel Reissue 2.55 WOC, also known as the Mademoiselle WOC, was released not long ago, but the idea came from the Chanel Reissue 2.55 Flap Bag and this bag doesn’t need any introduction.

The Reissue 2.55 WOC went through the same process as the Chanel Reissue 2.55 Flap Bag, but with some adjustment of course due to its smaller size.

But take a closer look – the famous Mademoiselle Lock, the leather looks like it has been worn and made from aged calfskin. With stunning chains, this bag deserves to be in your wardrobe.

Consider this bag as the smallest size in the Chanel Reissue 2.55 Line; its perfect for the evenings and you will be wearing one of the iconic. How much glam is that?

The interior is just like other WOC’s – structured and plenty of compartments for your essentials.

Style code: A80834, measuring 4.8’ x 7.6’ x 1.4’ inches, priced at $2100 USD, €1915 euro, £1620 GBP, $3060 SGD, $16100 HKD, $3100 AUD, ¥260280 JPY via Chanel boutiques.

Karl Lagerfeld went straight to the point, he said: ‘What I’ve done, Coco Chanel would never have done. She would have hated it’.

Oh really?

Perhaps this is the reason why, let me ask you one question:

Would Coco Chanel shrink the Chanel 2.55 Reissue Flap Bag to a mini size?

To be honest, I do not know and I do not really care, because what I am witnessing is mesmerizing and hypnotizing. So classy, so stylish, so timeless – every detail is embellished with traditional elements of the brand. Meet the Chanel 2.55 Wallet on Chain (also known as WOC). Now listen to the story:

Coco Chanel was inspired to make this bag in 1920, because she was tired of carrying her bags on her arms and wanted something to free up her hands. The thin straps were added in 1929, inspired by the soldier’s bag. The final refinement and the update version of this bag was released in February 1955, this is how the Chanel 2.55 Flap Bag got its name.

Now the iconic Chanel 2.55 is also available in the Wallet on Chain design. What a beauty!

When I said that every traditional element has been added, then I mean it. First, it’s made from aged calfskin, similar to the Chanel 2.55 Reissue Flap Bag. This leather makes this bag look like its ‘used’, a bit of vintage, which is amazing. Then what you also must admire is the mademoiselle lock, put in the center of this bag. This lock represents Coco Chanel for never getting married.

At last, what is very limited nowadays, is that this version of 2.55 WOC is in all black. The Chanel 2.55 WOC so black is very limited and will vanish from the catalogues when this season is over. When it’s gone, then no one knows when it will return.

The prices, colors and the sizes:

Chanel 2.55 Wallet on Chain is measured 4.8’ x 7.5’ x 1.6’ inches.
Style code: A69206
Price: $2,150 USD

Oh, have you checked the Chanel Reissue 2.55 So black yet?

You stare at the window, looking at the most beautiful purse you’ve ever seen. You check at the price, you can’t buy it because you need a shoulder bag, not another wallet. You walk away and wish it had a shoulder strap. But just like all beautiful things, you can’t get shake it off your head.

This is the reason why the Chanel Wallet on Chain aka WOC was born. It’s the most versatile bag you can ever own, a ‘must have’. Wear it at day, take it to shopping, brag it at school and sling it at work, walk like a model at the runway because you got a Chanel and when the sun change places with the moon, hide the shoulder strap inside your bag and transform it into an evening clutch.

Why the Chanel WOC? Unlike a clutch bag, it has enough space for all your essentials. It’s half the price of the classic flap bag, but still fully packed with Chanel traditions like the CC signature. There are enough types to choose from and available in different colors. WOC’s are well thought and structured bags, they are usually made in France and it has the quality to make you shine.

Just like all Chanel accessories, the WOCs also increase in price every year. Fortunately it doesn’t go as fast as the more expensive bags like the 2.55 reissue or the boy bags. Even if you already own one of the classic flaps, it still good to own at least one WOC.

The Chanel Wallet on Chain consist of 7 classic styles and recently 8 thanks to the ‘irresistible’ boy bag. Let’s cover all the style codes and prices:

Louis Vuitton Cruise Petite Malle

CATEGORIES:Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton just had an amazing Cruise 2017 collection. The theme? Brazil. And what a beautiful collection it is. Though the bags featured are still something that would require research, let me show you what’s up and running on the brand’s website.

You can purchase exclusively only some of the bags on the runway. Naturally a limited edition collection, don’t let it pass you by!

The collection is of vibrantly printed diagonal Epi Leather. And some with a soccer painting – tribute to Brazil’s sport – and honoring tribute to Brazilian artist Aldemir Martins.

Petit Malle

Petit Malle 2Petit Malle 1

Louis Vuitton recently presented their Cruise 2017 Collection at the Niterói Museum of Contemporary Arts in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The sporty collection pays homage to the city’s culture which presents vibrant colors, football and Grand Prix prints with a touch of Parisian flair. The star of the show is the Boombox Bag which is made of the Petite Malle bags which can even play music through Bluetooth. The iconic Speedy Bag features racing prints with Vuitton logo emblazoned on it and comes with a combination of the House classic materials such as the Damier, Epi and Monogram Canvas. The City Steamer gets an edgy update with a variety of pockets and rivets. Louis Vuitton introduces the Football print seen on the Steamer and Twist bags.

IMAGE: LOUIS VUITTON

It’s pretty clear at one glance where the inspiration for these Louis Vuitton Cruise 2017 Petite Malle bags come from. Tropical hues, racing stripes, greens on gold, even those sequinned animal prints. Yes, set against the dynamic tropicality of Rio de Janeiro, these iconic beauties are given the collection’s mandatory flourishes. Definitely fun pieces to add to anyone’s bag wardrobe, the small Petite Malle perfectly encapsulates the legacy of a luxury trunk maker, and is perhaps the closest any of us will own a ‘trunk’ from Louis Vuitton.

IMAGE: LOUIS VUITTON

If, however, you’re a ‘purist’ and prefer something that comes in the house’s classic monogram, well, here you go. Buffered with bright yellow rubber stubs for a twist that’s both fun and playful, the Petite Malle can be worn across the body (or over the shoulder) with the use of its additional sling, or handheld as a clutch, which is what I would do myself. No word yet on their exact prices (or when each style will hit Singapore’s Louis Vuitton boutiques) so do stay tuned for more updates.

Video Game Fashion: We Happy Few

Arthur Hastings

Employee of the Year. Award Winning Essayist. Downer.

Arthur is our spectacled protagonist. We don't see much of him, but he works as a "redactor," or a government censor, when we begin the game in his office.

After a brief panic attack after seeing something that reminded him of "the event" from years prior, Arthur quits taking his Joy, a decision that sets him on the run from the both the police as well as the other residents of Wellington Wells.

Arthur is a government worker. He's all business, all the time, and his clothes reflect that. For a fashion-friendly twist on Arthur's uptight business attire, I paired some black skinny dress pants with a white blouse. On top of that, I added a striped, peplum blazer to give the outfit more shape, along with a matching bag.

Of course, Arthur doesn't go without his glasses, so I channeled his look with some cat-eyed spectacles. I finished the outfit with loafers perfect for both evading the cops and doing light office work.

Wellies

Wellington Wells citizens. You won't like them when they're angry.

Wellies are the people of the town who take their Joy. We see a bit of them roaming around town, smiling and laughing, which are all side effects of Joy. However, once Arthur is on the run for not taking his Joy, the Wellies begin to turn aggressive and violent towards him (another side effect of Joy).

The Wellies tend to be nicely dressed at all times, like Arthur in his business attire. It's how they identify themselves as Wellies. Being extremely happy people, they like to express that in their clothing.

Most female Wellies seem to be channeling some major '70s vibes in their cute, printed dresses with matching heels, socks and headbands. Therefore, I went for exactly that, pairing a color blocked dress with white socks, black heels, and a headband. I also added some pearls because it seems the Wellies love their earrings. However, some Wellies wear big smiley masks on their faces, but I went with pair of big white sunglasses instead that work just as well.

Wastrels

Not exactly Downers. These are Wellies gone wrong.

Wastrels are Wellies that have reacted badly to their Joy. They're terribly ill and are recognizable by the dead looks in their eyes and their tattered clothing.

For the most part, Wastrels look like Wellies, with the exception of their tattered clothing. To reflect this, I chose a distressed dress, white go-go boots, and matching socks to channel that out-there '70s vibe once more. And Wastrels are always foraging for items around town, so a backpack is essential for imitating Wastrel style. Lastly, I added a simple black choker for a cool-girl element because deep down, that's all the Wastrels want to be.

10 LOOKS WE LOVED FROM NEW YORK FASHION WEEK: DAY 1

CATEGORIES:Fashion

It’s New York Fashion Week, which means the Fashionista team is running around town to bring you the best of what's new from the city's brightest designers. Read on for the looks we loved from the runways and presentations, and click here for even more reviews.

CLAUDIA LI

Photo: Bridget FlemingPhoto: Bridget Fleming

The pinstripes and patterns at Claudia Li were lovely, but the oversized orchid florals and sparkly, shiny gold of this gender-neutral shorts set was the scene-stealer. — Tyler McCall

RACHEL COMEY

Photo: ImaxtreePhoto: Imaxtree

I would be eager to wear everything in the designer's 15th anniversary show, but this ruffled, asymmetrical blouse won me over completely. It's the definition of "festive." — Chantal Fernandez

Photo: ImaxtreePhoto: Imaxtree

This was probably the simplest look at Rachel Comey's 15th anniversary show (awesomely set on the sidewalk on Crosby street outside of her store), and thus my favorite. Those high-waisted, cropped khakis are the pants of my dreams and those pink ankle-strap heels are the shoes of my dreams. Really. - Dhani Mau

KAELEN

Photo: KaelenPhoto: Kaelen

This textured cherry print was my favorite, and the designer said it's actually exclusive from a fabric mill in Italy. It comes in a bunch of different silhouettes, but this jumpsuit is the dreamiest. — Chantal Fernandez

Photo: KaelenPhoto: Kaelen

This slightly pajama-esque top and wide-legged trouser combo is everything I want to wear every single day of my life. I'm not kidding. Wear it with minimal heels to a wedding with a cocktail dress code! Wear it with white sneakers for a day at the office! Wear it around the house for an extremely chic day at home! Shall I could go on? — Maura Brannigan

SACHIN & BABI

Photo: Sachin & BabiPhoto: Sachin & Babi

The ballerina modeling this particular frock at Sachin & Babi's presentation made me fall in love with it's soft, sheer florals and crisp black piping. It's perfect for all sorts of occasions, but especially dancing. — Chantal Fernandez

R13

Photo: Gerardo SomozaPhoto: Gerardo Somoza

This denim on denim look stood out from R13's entire collection because of the beautiful grey wash, the way the shorts are cut and the styling. It's exactly the kind of throwback grungy, angsty look that feels really relevant right now. — Chantal Fernandez

ALEJANDRA ALONSO ROJAS

This soft suit was sleek and effortless, and actually made me consider the merits of a full pink suit for the first time. Especially one paired with a delicate knit version of a polo. — Chantal Fernandez

WHIT

Photo: ImaxtreePhoto: Imaxtree

Whit designer Whitney Pozgay was inspired by childhood road trips down the California Coast from San Diego to Arizona for her spring 2017 collection, resulting in a subtly Mexican/Southwestern-inspired aesthetic and color palette. This is one of those perfect summer dresses that requires minimal effort to look cute: Just throw on some sunglasses and espadrilles and you're good to go. - Dhani Mau

Speaking of dream outfits, I want to wear nothing but this M. Martin pajama-inspired look next spring. - Dhani Mau

‘70s Revive in Uterque Fall 2016 Lookbook

CATEGORIES:Fashion

Fashion is always surprising, and so is Uterque’s fall/winter 2016-17 lookbook, the whimsical designs and loads of Seventies-inspired references of which come just in time for us to refresh our wardrobes with a dream array of Farrah Fawcett-approved essentials.

Uterque Fall 2016 Lookbook

Uterque, whose latest fall/winter 2016-17 collection drew inspiration from Gucci’s boho-chic and geek styles, creatively entitled its lookbook as ‘dare to create’, a caption that in return encourages us to play with fashion and experiment with completely different styles on a daily basis, not just when we have something fancy to do for the night.

As for the usual quotes Uterque shares here and there whenever there’s a new lookbook on its website, this time around the Spanish retailer truly outdid itself, with its inspirational captions being more motivational than ever before. “Original thought, in its purest form, is to think beyond our conventional rationality: to think outside the box”…

Although the Uterque fall 2016 collection is mainly all about the ‘70s fashion, most of its proposals can be easily mixed and matched with one another, subsequently reinventing the hippy-chic decade’s motifs in a more contemporary way. Furthermore, if you are looking for single items to revamp your style with, most of the Uterque’s autumnal proposals can be styled and layered singularly with anything you might already own, from grunge-inspired total black outfits to feminine Sixties-infused mini dresses.

Uterque Fall 2016 Lookbook

Overall relaxed and slouchy, Uterque’s autumnal proposals take the coziest side of the Seventies and translate it into a more haute couture, yet ready-to-wear fashion, with kimono cardigans, pleated midi dresses and princess coats dominating the scene. Palazzo pants, of course, help reinforce the whole boho-chic motif, with the lookbook styling them with either fitted, turtleneck sweatshirts, or psychedelic shirts with butterfly sleeves.

Whether you are going for a kimono jacket or a midi dress, Uterque’s designs make it easier to juxtapose such pieces with both Nineties and Sixties-inspired patterns, creating either a heroin chic or Janis Joplin-approved style accordingly.

To better help us play with fashion, Uterque focused on an extremely variegated accessory line, which not only features more conventional Seventies-infused items, such as chunky boots and geometric handbags, but also conceptual staples, such as deconstructed clutches, oversized brooch necklaces and long earrings with gem embellishments.

Cuissardes boots and chokers complete most of the lookbook’s outfits, instantly catapulting us into what is going to be one of the fashion industry’s most eclectic winters of all times.

EMMA STONE LOOKED LIKE A CHIC WOODLAND FAIRY AT THE VENICE FILM FESTIVAL

CATEGORIES:Fashion

Emma Stone attends a photocall for 'La La Land' during the 73rd Venice Film Festival. Photo: Stefania D'Alessandro/Getty Images Emma Stone attends a photocall for 'La La Land' during the 73rd Venice Film Festival. Photo: Stefania D'Alessandro/Getty Images

We missed you, Emma Stone! The actress is back on the movie premiere circuit for her new film "La La Land," and she seriously brought it at the movie's debut at the Venice Film Festival. For the photo call, the actress donned a printed green-and-pink Giambattista Valli dress that is best described as the incarnation of spring in garment form. And while you'd think the combination of pink, florals and ruffles might read as juvenile and twee, Stone makes it work.

The best part of the look, though, might be the mustard-yellow suede ankle-strap pumps. Yep, yellow shoes. The overall effect is modern and unexpected in a way that's rare for the red carpet (though not necessarily for Stone). Good to have you back, Emma.
